TEC Hangar, Equatorial Guinea

TEC is a private company operating in Equatorial Guinea, Chad, Cameroon, run by a brave resourceful Frenchman, Mr Bernard Queyroix. When the President of the small nation of Equatorial Guinea wanted a big and prestigious aircraft hangar for the Presidential Flight in Malabo, some 90m by 90m by 20m , he came to Reid Steel. He was amazed by the quick reaction and the can-do attitude and, in a time relatively quick by normal standards, opened the letter of credit, got the hangar steel delivered, and erected it, all in a difficult location with a harsh hot wet climate. The hangar was unusual because of the decorative steel work and fascias to make it look more presidential, and much harder to design and construct. Our erection supervisors, Jimmy and Nick, had their work cut out to make this huge hangar a success.
