MRO (Maintenance, repair and overhaul) Hangar - Shannon Airport
 

Shannon Airport, UPS hangar for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul. Mega door, Fabric door steel framed hanger metal building. Airplane hangarHangar for Aer Rianta/UPS at Shannon Airport, just after constructionBuilt as a maintenance facility for servicing the UPS fleet, this hangar was designed by REIDsteel to accommodate aircraft up to B747- 400 size. The hangar incorporates vertical lift fabric doors, with the central panel giving a clear height of 21m to accommodate the tail of the aircraft.

This picture is of the back of the hangar. It shows the lean to office/workshop building - Design and Build by REIDsteelIn addition to the hangar we designed and built the two storey office structure providing in excess of 2000m² of administration and workshop space. The curtain walling, windows and glazed doors were also made by us as were the access cat ladders and maintenance safety rails.

During construction:
