Vektra Aviation Hangar, Montenegro

Vektra Aviation is a VIP airline based in Podgorica, Montenegro. This steel framed aircraft hangar at its main base in Podgorica Airport is large enough to hold all five aircraft currently in the fleet.

The hangar is 40m x 52m, with a clear height of 12.6m. The main doors are of steel frame construction and are electrically operated. The doors are bottom rolling on substantial wheels, on tracks complete with adjustable sleepers. The top door guides consist of vertical rollers moving between steel guides, which are protected from the weather by a hood and seals.

There are 6 door slabs on 3 tracks, giving an entrance 39m x 12.6m high, each slab having its own electric motor, driving the ground wheels through a reduction gear box and chain drive.
